A totally flexible approach to Home Automation, with the help of your installer Nikobus is easily installed, easily programmed and easily expanded – allowing for design, planning and easy programming either manually, or via PC, and is targeted to provide optimum comfort and safety.

Should you prefer a more ‘handson’ approach, the SMS Modem can be integrated with the PC Logic to enable control via your mobile phone, as well as providing you with handy SMS text system status updates.

For Niko, reliability with efficiency is paramount. To guarantee the Nikobus keeps working at all times, each control module contains a bus power supply, with only one of these power supplies remaining active for the entire installation. This means that should a defect occur with the first bus power supply, the others take over automatically. In the field of Lighting Control and Home Automation, Niko provides a ‘Feature-Full’ system.

The wireless smoke alarm reacts early to smoke emissions from both smouldering and open fires. The alarm features an integrated visual & acoustic alarm, and is linked to all other smoke alarms to generate a property-wide alarm.

The Electronic Clock Thermostat features day/week programming, three temperature levels (night/day frost protection) and a permanent time or temperature display – keeping you fully in control of your environment at all times.

Similarly, with Niko’s Motion Detector and outdoor Twilight Switch you’ll find you never need to turn a light on or off again. The Motion Detector senses movements as small as 2cm, automatically turning on the lights wherever they are needed and turning them off whenever the room has been unoccupied for a predetermined time. The Twilight Switch, as well as a fully functioning outdoor motion detector also comes equipped with a light sensor, automatically raising and lowering the light level as programmed.well as providing you with handy SMS text system status updates. Belgomine is a major Belgian supplier of petrol and diesel, as well as construction materials – and it has its own large transportation company. So when the time came for it to build new premises from which to run its business, it had to reflect the substance of the company.

The new building is truly multi-functional with a car park, archive and heating system on the ground floor; office space with large sections in glass on the second – and an apartment for the Blommaert family, the directors of Belgomine at the top.

A Beautiful, Practical, and Stylish Home

The brief for this discerning client was to provide a home that was equipped discreetly to make it both a tranquil retreat and a fun and lively party venue. From the jacuzzi, steam room, and fabulous shower to the kitchen and living areas, the Nikobus Home Automation system has been used to make living easy and fun.

Niko Orientation Lights subtly and automatically light up to make navigation to kitchen or bathroom easy but not over bright. In the morning, curtains are drawn automatically; whilst the radio is turned onto the right station, at the right time, and in the right rooms for a perfect wake up call.

Whether reading a book, watching a movie or simply making a cup of tea, lighting scenes, curtains and blinds, and even the surround sound system and heating are controlled to provide the homeowner with the perfect backdrop to suit their mood.

But that’s not all, so completely planned is this Niko installation that there is even a single ‘Good Night’ function available at key areas in the house – by the front door or by the bed, for example; which turns off everything necessary. Just one push of a button does it all.
