CEDIA has opened nominations to its members to select the board of directors for 2021-2022.
Since its inception, the CEDIA board of directors has influenced the direction of the industry, as well as governing the association’s activities and representing the residential technology integration profession.
There are four open elected board positions for the 2021-2022 term, but no open appointed seats for the 2021 term.
CEDIA member integrators who are employees of a member company can be nominated, and they will then be vetted by the Governance Committee and put forward as candidates for the global membership vote.
This election cycle’s vacancies may be filled by one CEDIA member in the EMEA region and three from the rest of the global membership.
The board is made up to represent the global membership, with one third being EMEA directors and the remaining directors representing members across the globe.
Current board members continuing their service next year include Rob Sutherland as chairman, David Weinstein as chairman elect, Melanie Malcolm as secretary, John Buchanan as treasurer, David Humphries as immediate past chairman, Jamie Briesemeister, Alex Capecelatro, Bill Skaer, and Amanda Wildman.
“I encourage all CEDIA members to nominate leader they feel are dedicated to the volunteer service that is the hallmark of our industry,” commented CEDIA’s chairman, Rob Sutherland.
“Serving on the CEDIA board of directors not only offers an unmatched opportunity to shape the present and future of our industry, but it also brings with it tremendous personal pride and satisfaction in knowing you’re making a difference in all facets of residential technology. We’re eager to invite the very best leaders in our industry to step up and that starts with the board nomination process.”
To make a nomination, individuals must fill out the
nomination form on the
board nomination page.
Individuals have until 27 July 2020 to nominate candidates and voting for nominees will be open from 9 September to 21 October 2020. The results of elected board members will be announced immediately after the election and seated at the first board meeting in January 2021.
All member types can cast a vote and each company has one vote each.
