Crestron to showcase control options at Monaco Yacht Show 2018

Home automation provider Crestron has announced that it will once again be exhibiting at Monaco Yacht Show – the premium event for the luxury yacht industry.

Taking place at Port Hercules in Monaco, Crestron will be showcasing its integrated control systems suited to off-shore lifestyles at the 28th edition of the event with live and interactive demonstrations.

Visiting integrators, ETOs, yacht owners and potential yacht buyers to Crestron’s stand will be able to go on a ‘superyacht tour’ exploring how control systems can manage security, lighting, blinds and shades, audio and entertainment, among other technologies, in different rooms.

Crestron integrates with onboard navigation, communications and environmental systems, with control options spanning touchscreens, recently launched Horizon keypads and voice control.

“We’re very excited to be back at Monaco Yacht Show this year. As providers of the world’s finest intelligent marine control and automation solutions, this is the perfect place to showcase the flawless capabilities of Crestron technology, and demonstrate the endless possibilities it can achieve on-board today’s advanced superyacht,” commented Robin van Meeuwen, CEO of Crestron EMEA.

Specific interactive demonstrations being hosted throughout Monaco Yacht Show will include:

The DM NVX entertainment experience

NVX is the latest addition to Crestron’s extensive family of DigitalMedia products and makes it possible to transmit 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video over standard 1 Gigabit Ethernet, with no latency. This allows installers to create a secure onboard network that guarantees reliable signal and content distribution throughout a yacht.

Guests can stream content – watching movies, music videos and TV shows in high quality, without signal disruption that can occur off shore, whether they are in a bedroom or on deck. NVX can easily be scaled to cater for every size yacht.

Creating a bespoke user experience

Crestron’s control hub area will offer a realistic demonstration of how the user experience could be on board a vessel. Three touch screens will be showcasing the ETO experience and their ability to have complete management of all aspects of the superyacht and another three touchscreens will show the perfect end user experience for guests, and how they can interact with the superyacht via Crestron.

Shades and Sheers options

A tour of Crestron's fully integrated lighting and shading control options, including its newly introduced Horizontal Sheers, created specifically for superyachts.

Creston will showcase its product range and how its systems can be personalised for yacht owners, guests or charterers at AL8, Albert 1er Pier at Monaco Yacht Show 2018. This year’s event runs from 26 to 29 September, 2018 at Port Hercules, Monaco.
