Faradite to offset carbon footprint for ISE 2022

Smart home accessory company, Faradite has said that its participation in ISE 2022 will be carbon negative as it will offset more than double the carbon output from doing the show.

“Trade shows are an important part of our strategy but we cannot avoid the fact they can create sizable carbon emissions,” said Matt Emberson, sales and marketing manager at Faradite. “Transporting the trade stand by road, flying our staff to the show, as well as the exhibition itself will all count towards the environmental impact and this is something we are aware of and something we want to try and address.”

To address the issue, the company has committed to taking steps to reduce its environmental impact for the upcoming trade show.

“Simply put, we are committing to plant and protect trees to remove more carbon from the environment than our ISE 2022 exhibition will put out.”

Faradite has estimated that its carbon footprint for exhibiting at ISE will be around 1,700kg made up of road transport, flights, car journeys, and the estimated output for the four days of energy used on the trade stand. To ensure it commits to its carbon negative promise, Faradite will offset four tonnes (4,000kg), which is more than double the estimation carbon cost.

To help achieve this, Faradite is working with UK-based company, Carbon Footprint Ltd, who offer tree planting and protecting services to help remove carbon from the atmosphere. To guarantee its carbon offset is delivered now, Carbon Footprint’s tree buddying service ensures fully mature trees in the Amazon rainforest are protected to continue moving carbon emissions.

These are not the first steps Faradite is taking to help its impact on the environment; the company has recently redesigned much of its product packaging to drastically reduce single use plastics as well as introducing FSC approved plastic free tape on its parcels.
