Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the HIGH END SOCIETY Service GmbH has announced it is postponing the HIGH END SWISS and WORLD OF HIFI shows until next year.
Due to take place this October, organisers made the decision to delay the show until 2021 to provide its exhibitors with planning reliability at early stage.
The HIGH END SWISS show will now take place at the Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Regensdorf on 9-10 January 2021.
The WORLD OF HIFI, a well-established regional event, will be held at the Dorint Kogresshotel Düsseldorf/Neuss on 6-7 March 2021.
Although Germany has banned large-scale events until 31 August 2020, it is currently unclear whether there will be limits on the number of people able to attend such events after this date.
In February, Stefan Dreischärf, managing director of HIGH END SOCIETY Service GmbH, already had to cancel one of the world’s biggest hi-fi shows, the HIGH END 2020 in Munich. He commented: “The exponential growth of the pandemic over the last months clearly shows that we without a doubt made the right decision at an early stage.
“We believe that we have the same responsibility toward everyone involved in our Swiss trade show and our regional event in Neuss and would also like to counter the growing uncertainty with regard to the feasibility of hosting major events.”
He continued: “A trade show that industry experts and consumers choose to avoid out of fear of catching the virus is no help at all for us or our exhibitors. Both we and our customers invest a great deal of energy, time and money in these events. Without a wide audience, all of these efforts would be economically inefficient and ineffective.”
