Director and cinematographer Barry Sonnenfeld, famed for directing the ‘Men in Black’ franchise and partnerships with the Coen brothers, will speak on the important of a quality cinema experience in the home at CEDIA next month.
Kaleidescape and Sony just pulled it out of the bag when it comes to bringing speakers of note to the San Diego Convention Centre in September during CEDIA 2018.
Set to be the hot ticket of the show is Barry Sonnenfeld – known for his work on the ‘Men in Black’ movies, ‘When Harry Met Sally,’ ‘Raising Arizona’ and the recent ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Netflix TV series – discussing all things move-watching during his talk on “The Home Cinema Experience: From Camera to Couch” on the first day of CEDIA.
During the 1-and-a-half-long talk Sonnenfeld will “explore the creation and presentation of a modern home cinema experience” and his vision of how people should “enjoy faithful reproduction of that experience in their own home theatre.” A part of this, Kaleidescapes states that he will talk about what he thinks about when creating an experience for his audience, and what impact he thinks streaming and the internet is having on how people watch films and TV.
Sonnenfeld is an elected board member of the Eastern Directors Council of the Directors Guild of America.
Barry Sonnenfeld will speak on Thursday 6 September, 2018 from 11am to 12.30pm in Room 7A. More information regarding attending the session is available on the CEDIA event website.
