Kramer Electronics has acquired Detroit headquartered iRule, a provider of cloud-based control and automation software for commercial and residential markets.
The relationship between the two companies goes back to 2014 when Kramer partnered with iRule to deliver its control and automation product Kramer Control.
Kramer says the acquisition will now enable it to use the iRule software platform to address a growing demand for advanced control and automation solutions.

The acquisition includes the iRule brand and subsidiary division ON Controls, which offers products and services dedicated specifically for residential integrators.
Co-founders CEO Itai Ben-Gal and CTO Victor Nemirovsky will remain with the company along with the sales and engineering teams at iRule.
