CEDIA hosting KNX Basic Training course
CEDIA has announced that it will be hosting a KNX Basic Training course between July 1st-5th and November 4th-8th at its Training Centre in St Neots.
The course, held for integrators looking to become a certified KNX Partner, is a five-day programme that covers all aspects of the KNX protocol, and for a limited time, includes a special offer of a free one-day CEDIA Residential Networking course on October 7th or December 4th.
CEDIA became an official KNX Training Centre after embarking on a partnership with KNX last year. The KNX Basic Training consists of several in-depth topics, providing essential information for integrators who want to become a KNX partner. These topics include:
• KNX Project Design ETS Professional – Basic
• KNX Project Design ETS Professional – Advanced (only for informative purposes)
• KNX Commissioning ETS
• KNX Diagnostics & Troubleshooting ETS
• KNX System arguments
• KNX Systems overview
• KNX TP Topology
• KNX TP Telegram
• KNX Bus devices
• KNX TP Installation

To complete the course, integrators will undergo an examination and will automatically qualify as a KNX Partner if they pass. By the end of the five-day course, attendees will understand the principle of the KNX Communication protocol and how to build, configure, diagnose, and examine a KNX system.
Matt Nimmons, managing director of CEDIA EMEA, said: “The KNX Basic Training course is a great way to really understand the fundamentals of the KNX ecosystem. This course includes both theoretical and hands-on programming exercises to build the attendees’ understanding and confidence with the KNX system configuration tool.”
CEDIA will run the KNX Basic course from July 1st-5th and November 4th-8th. The course is £649 + VAT for CEDIA members and £799 + VAT for non-members.
