CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) has been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s TAF (Trade Association Forum) Best Practice Awards. CEDIA is a contender for both Event of the Year and Publication of the Year, for the CEDIA Awards and CEDIA Awards Yearbook.
Recognised and supported by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, the TAF Best Practice Awards recognises, rewards and promotes best practice amongst trade associations in the UK.
The annual CEDIA Awards, which has been shortlisted in the Event of the Year category, has become the flagship event for both the home technology industry and also for CEDIA as a trade association. Now heading into its 10th year, the CEDIA Awards has grown in stature, reputation and size, to the extent that it is now a sell-out event year on year. CEDIA members from across the EMEA region take part in the awards scheme, and attend the event to celebrate the best projects in smart home integration.
The CEDIA Awards Yearbook has been nominated for Publication of the Year. The 116 page document is a stunning 'coffee table' book that shows off the very best of the home technology industry. It is designed to showcase all entrants in the CEDIA Awards, to raise awareness of the industry and communicate the excellence and skills of CEDIA members amongst architects, interior designers, housebuilders and CEDIA consumers.
Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director of CEDIA EMEA says: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted in the TAF Best Practice Awards and to be recognised for our work amongst other trade associations. The CEDIA Awards has grown year on year, and is an event which is enjoyed by the industry as a whole. This year marks ten years of the CEDIA Awards, and we are proud of how the scheme has developed and grown since it began in 2006. Being successful in the TAF Best Practice Awards would be a great achievement and the icing on the cake for our anniversary.”
The TAF Awards ceremony is taking place on Thursday 9 July 2015 at the UnderGlobe in London.
