In a company meeting today, Core Brands President, Bill Pollock, announced his retirement after 27 years leading Panamax-Furman and then Core Brands. The retirement will be effective December 31, 2014. Pollock also today announced that Joe Roberts, Core Brands Vice President of Products and Marketing, will assume the President role upon Pollock’s departure.
“After 27 years of service to the custom installation industry, the time has come for me to retire and pass the baton to a new generation of leadership that has dramatically demonstrated its ability to design, engineer and manufacture the innovative and award-winning CI industry system solutions that will delight our customers for many years to come,” Pollock said today. “When I hired Joe a year ago, it was very much with this day in mind. He is the architect of our new product roadmap, inspiring our engineering and product development teams to create the products we introduced so successfully at CEDIA 2014. He will lead the senior management team that will assure our success for many years to come. I could not be more proud of his accomplishments than I am today. I am leaving the helm in very capable hands.”
In assuming his new position as president, Roberts today thanked Pollock for his many years of service to the industry and to the employees of, first, Panamax/Furman and then, Core Brands. “Bill has been an amazing mentor for me,” Roberts emphasized. “I came to this company with a technology and software background, but not with direct CI experience. Bill showed me the ropes and challenged me to leverage my technology expertise into meaningful new products that will make a major difference to the dealers and consumers we all ultimately serve. I look forward to Bill’s continuing counsel during the transition over the next few months.”
