Elite Screens has announced the launch of its second generation  product with the Starling 2 electric motorized projection screen. “Our competitors make great products and we have a responsibility to always develop better solutions for our customers. The Starling 2 brings enhanced elegance and quality at a competitive price,” said Dave Rodgers, Marketing Manager of Elite Screens.  “There is always room for improvement in any good product and so we put a little more into our higher-end CE retail electric projector screen” Starling_2_Wide_Angle_Lifestyle_ES_logoThe Starling 2 Series looks better and has more features. It has a sleek enameled casing that comes in either a black or white finish as well as a stout Spectra White fiberglass-backed material in either a standard or tab-tensioned format. The Spectra White FG material has a 1.1 gain wide diffusion uniformity that is ideal in its versatility for a multitude of applications. While the fiberglass backing provides an optimal degree of flatness, a tab-tensioned version is also available to maximize screen surface tension regardless of unforeseen environmental variables. The Spectra White FG material is black matted on all sides to enhance perceived visual contrast while presenting a professionally formatted picture. It also has an extended top border for high-ceiling installations that can be adjusted for proper height requirements. The material is raised and lowered using a fast acting tubular motor with superior weight tolerance and  overheat protection. The Starling electric projection screen ships fully assembled with complete Infrared/Radio Frequency, control package. New enhancements include a 5-12 volt trigger that coordinates the screen’s drop and rise with the projector’s power cycle.  There is now also an RS232 port that enables serial communication. There is also an extended IR “eye”sensor and integrated up/down controls on the box itself for making minor adjustments. www.elitescreens.com
