Since being elected as the new KNX UK President in March of this year, Di Stickland has grabbed the role with both hands and kick-started her campaign with a series of ‘Meet the President’ events around the UK.KNX UK Tour
These events have highlighted the new opportunity and value for KNX users to become involved with the KNX community.

Di has been keen to share ideas with and take input from current KNX UK members and potential members, and these events have provided an opportunity for attendees to find out more about KNX and the benefits of joining.

“The aim of the ‘Meet the President’ tour was to get out and meet as many members as possible, and give them a chance to ask me any questions they may have about the association. I want our members to feel that they can really get involved in the association and share their ideas, even if they aren’t on the board.  I am delighted with the turnout we have had and look forward to hosting many more events like this in the coming months and years,” said KNX UK’s President, Di Stickland.

Starting in ABB’s offices in Coventry, Di then moved onto Entech’s premises in Stockport, meeting with interested parties and discussing plans for the future of KNX UK. In the same week, a London event was held in the Old Bank of England, which saw more than 50 attendees. Drinks and food were provided during the evening, courtesy of the event sponsors, Ivory Egg and ABB.

The final leg of the tour was held at the Kensington Close Hotel, sponsored by Theben and Ivory Egg. This afternoon included a presentation by Scott Burgess, Managing Director of Ivory Egg, entitled ‘An Introduction to KNX’ to help delegates discover if KNX was right for them. These events have highlighted the new opportunity and value for KNX users to become involved with the KNX community by joining as KNX UK Professional members.

As a KNX UK Professional, members can access a significant amount of information and expert advice, via online KNX forums as well as through face-to-face networking events such as this recent tour, all for an affordable annual subscription fee. Complimentary copies of the international KNX Journal and KNX UK e-newsletter are also provided. For those joining KNX UK Professionals before the end of November 2015, a reduced subscription fee of £150 is available for the first year’s membership. www.knxuk.org
