Matrix Voice turns Raspberry Pi into voice recognition system
Following a successful crowdfunding effort on Indiegogo last year, Matrix Voice is now available. It has been described as 'Alexa for Raspberry-Pi,' it is a development board with built-in microphones to bring custom voice recognition to any project.
Matrix Voice was built with a mission to give every developer around the world a complete, affordable, and user-friendly tool for simple to complex Internet of Things (IoT) voice app creation.
The Matrix Voice development board features 7 MEMS microphones connected to a Xilinx Spartan6 FPGA (field-programmable gate array) and 64MB of SDRAM. It also has 64 GPIO expansion pins (including 40 for connection to a Raspberry Pi) and 18 Everloop LEDs.
The Matrix Voice has already been fully funded on Indiegogo, and is available now. A video introducing the system can be watched here.
