On Controls has introduced Power Over Ethernet (POE) capability to their lineup of On-link gateways. POE is a power distribution and wire management solution that is of high value to integrators, and the addition of this new feature is in direct response to feedback from On Controls’ dealer network, the company says.
Wired versions of the On Controls On-link gateways are connected using Cat-5 cable and the POE feature eliminates the need for an outboard power supply. On-link gateways are available in IR, RS-232 and Contact Closure versions.
“We are aware that POE streamlines installation and reduces the clutter associated with outboard power supplies,” says On Controls CEO Itai Ben-Gal. “POE will simplify the lives of integrators employing the On Controls solution in both residential and commercial applications.”
