The new Smart Device Template from oneM2M will be officially launched later this month at the Smart Home Expo in Birmingham, UK.
On behalf of oneM2M, Andreas Kraft, software and system architect in Smart Home and IoT, Deutsche Telekom, will present ‘oneM2M – Enabling Smart Home and Cross-Domain IoT’. This presentation will cover the rise in smart home devices and how they must be seamlessly deployed and managed if the industry is to realise the full potential of the smart home.
oneM2M’s new Smart Device Template provides a simple, modular and agnostic framework to seamlessly specify, manage, and control smart home devices. In the presentation, Kraft will explain how this is accelerating the smart home market by enabling communication between smart home devices, regardless of what brand they are or different communication protocols.
In addition to the new template, the presentation will also cover oneM2M’s Home Appliance Information Model (TS-0023), the standardisation landscape, and oneM2M’s Partnership Project as well as an overview of OneM2M and its architecture and technology.
Kraft will hold the presentation at 13:15 on Tuesday 16th March as part of the Smart Home Expo, Birmingham.
