Origin Acoustics, the team that invented the architectural loudspeaker, is proud to announce the release of the Producer Collection of in-ceiling loudspeakers. Beginning with a new vision of the price/performance ratio, these speakers are designed for multi-room installations where system cost is very critical.
It is not all that difficult to produce incredible sound when cost is no object, but when price points become more restrictive the results are often compromised. The Producer Collection is a great example of what can happen when a group of engineers are focused on squeezing the most every component.
Featuring polypropylene and injection molded graphite woofers coupled with either a silk or aluminum tweeter and crossed over through multi-component networks, these speakers make none of the compromises you would expect at this price level. Even the same magnetic grille with an ultra-thin bezel found on the speakers from the high-end Director Collection is part of the Producer package.
“We understand that many of our dealers work with production home builders,” remarked Dave Donald, Origin’s V.P. of Marketing. “We set out to provide these dealers with a level of performance that is beyond their expectations. I am proud to say that is exactly what we have accomplished.”
There are 5 models in the Composer Collection, three coaxial and two stereo models with dual voice coil woofers and dual tweeters. They range in MSRP from $100 to $250 each.
