Cambridge Audio has integrated Roon’s high-resolution streaming and music management technology into its award-winning Azur 851N network audio player.
The addition of Roon Ready integration further expands the listening options already offered by the 851N streamer, as Cambridge Audio recognises that its customers enjoy listening to their music collections in a variety of different ways.
Just like the Roon Ready updates already rolled out for the Edge NQ and CXN (V2), a software update is now available for the 851N. This update will allow Roon to discover the device on the network, deliver high-quality audio, and allow volume control from the Roon interface.
The Roon Ready certification means the 851N network audio streamer now discovers and connects to Roon without any additional configuration.
Users can stream almost any file to the 851N, with all tracks being put through Cambridge Audio’s 2nd generation Adaptive Time Filtering, upsampling everything to 24bit/383kHz hi-res quality, regardless of the original source.
The Cambridge Audio Azur 851N is available for £1,399 / $1,499.
