Crestron expands AV-over-IP functionality

Crestron has announced four new Crestron DM NAX Audio Edge Devices to provide interoperability and performance between audio sources for AV-over-IP systems.

Each new accessory is available in two form factors, wall plates or surface mounts, and are connected by a single network through the Crestron Home OS. Other features include an onboard DSP for tone shaping and signal optimisation. All new edge devices are compatible across DM NVX AV over IP, DM NAX Audi over IP, AES67, and Dante audio networking platforms. Additionally, the edge devices are powered via PoE, eliminating the need for local AC power.

The DM-NAX-BTIO-1G is a wall plate with Bluetooth communications and analog inputs and outputs that adds Bluetooth audio to any DM NAX Audio-over-IP, DM NVX AV-over-IP, Dante audio network, or AES67 AV-over-IP system. It bridges any audio source to DM NAX technology.

The DM-NAX-2XLRI-1G wall plate with XLR input offers stereo analogue audio outputs, allowing integration with a professional audio system. With onboard DSP, users have control over tone shaping and signal optimisation. This edge device provides power and audio signals through a single network cable.

The DM-NAX-AUD-IO bridges traditional analogue media sources such as phones, laptops, media players, and turntables into an AV-over-IP audio setup. Power and audio signals are delivered through a single network cable.

The ?DM-NAX-AUD-USB is a DM NAX converter with USB and unbalanced analogue audio input and output. This is the product for connecting USB devices to DM NAX technology. With a stereo USB-C connectivity PC audio input, one can connect a laptop and enjoy audio streaming. The device also features a stereo analog 3.5mm line in/out, allowing integration with local audio systems.

DM NAX edge products provide integrated streaming, routing, and distribution, combined with audiophile-quality speakers, amps, and complete control of all media and content in a Crestron system. Customers can control them through any device including keypads, remotes, and touchscreens, or via integration in the Crestron Home OS on mobile devices.
