Denon adds two new AV receivers to X-Series Lineup

Denon has announced two new X-Series AV receivers, the Denon AVR-X2600H (95W per channel) and AVR-X1600H (80W per channel), designed to deliver lifelike, visceral 7.2 surround sound experiences ideal for home cinema upgrades and home entertainment enthusiasts.

Providing an immersive 3D audio experience, the new X-Series AV receivers support the latest surround sound formats including Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation Technology, which adds virtual height and surround effects on traditional stereo or surround content as well as Dolby Atmos content while using fewer speakers.

The Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation Technology uses loudspeakers originating at listener-level, but creating the sense that the sound extends above and beyond the listener to fill the room with audio. This is ideal for system without discrete height or surround speakers such as 2.1 or 5.1, simplifying installation while delivering 360-degree audio. This technology will be delivered via a future firmware update.

Denon’s X-Series AVRs feature a new eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), delivering uncompressed and object-based audio from the TV to the receiver via a single HDMI cable and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for lag-free gaming.

Using eARC, 4K Ultra HD HDMI and full HDCP 2.3 support on all ports, the new receivers can be seamlessly connected with 4K and future 8K TVs as well as streaming devices, gamin consoles and other source players.

Each receiver features a front-panel USB port that offers convenient audio playback of MP3 and high-resolution audio formats, as well as being compatible with Apple AirPlay 2.

The receivers also work through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Josh.ai, and Apple Siri, giving users various voice control options.

In addition to this, installing the X-Series AVRs is quick and simple with the setup assistant which visually guides users through each step in the setup process.

The AVR-X1600H is priced at $599 and the AVR-X2600H is priced at $799 and are available now at authorised Denon retailers.
