Chinese company, Yaber, has announced its slimmest and smallest projector yet, the Pico T1, with a similar form factor to a smartphone and designed to fit easily into a pocket.
Launching the product through crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo, the Pico T1 has a thickness of just 0.52” and weighs 150g, making it easy to carry around. It is also compatible with power banks making it easy to keep charged on the go.
With a magnetic 360 tripod included, the projector can be mounted and angle adjusted to project a 540P 110ANSI display up to 70” onto any flat surface.
Pico T1 includes auto vertical keystone correction, manual focus and automatic display orientation. It also features a single 1.5-watt speaker but no headphone jack, so users would need Bluetooth headphones for personal audio. Using an RGB LED light source, the projector will give 30,000 hours of use.
Featuring a smart OS, the projector works very much like a smartphone. Apps such as YouTube, Hulu, HBO, Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix, and more can be installed onto the projector.
It is compatible with 2.4G and 5G dual-band Wi-Fi and can be connected through Bluetooth 4.2. Yaber’s Pico T1 also allows cabled connections to media sources via the single micro-HDMI or two USB-C ports.
Screen mirroring is supported over Miracast, AirPlay and Eshare, and it features a touch-wheel control interface for easy control.
To ensure its durability, the projector is made with quality composite materials and comes with an anti-scratch screen and body.
According to the Indiegogo platform, Yaber are planning to start shipping the projector in September this year. The Pico T1 will be on display at IFA in Berlin this week.
