Angekis launches intelligent videoconferencing device

Angekis has combined intelligent group auto framing and tracking technology to launch the Compact One for home offices, huddle spaces and mobile applications.

It has USB 2.0 connectivity and is suited to BYOD environments. Its 4K, 1/2.8-in, 8.42-megapixel sensor is paired with a lens with a 120-degree field of view. Dual microphones pick participants up at distances of up to 5 metres.

The intelligent auto framing processor automatically ensures all participants are in view and adjusts the shot automatically as people move, leave, or enter the room. The 4K sensor facilitates up to 4x digital zoom with a full HD output to conferencing applications. Manual adjustment of the ePTZ controls are available via the included IR remote control, the Angekis NECC app for Windows or via UVC control available in Zoom Rooms and other software applications.

An integrated flexible hinge mount allows the Compact One to be installed on top of screens or laptops, screwed to a wall or placed on desk or other flat surface. A standard ¼-in threaded insert facilitates mounting on tripods and third-party mounts.
