KEF upgrades Q Series of loudspeakers
KEF has announced the launch of its 8th generation of Q Series loudspeakers.
The Q Series consists of two bookshelf speakers (Q150 and Q350), three floorstanding speakers (Q550, Q750 and Q950), and a centre speaker (Q650c).
The series incorporates an updated Uni-Q driver, featuring a newly added Damped Tweeter Loading Tube for performance in the lower treble. A low-distortion inductor has also been included on the crossover for bass.

The Uni-Q driver in the Q150 and Q350 has also been moved to the middle of the cabinet to lower unwanted internal resonances.
The Q Series’ floorstanders incorporate a low-frequency drivers with a larger roll surround and additional spiders and paper cone for bass response and midrange performance.
The floorstanders’ ABR (Auxiliary Bass Radiator) has an updated with new surround and rear suspension, as well as a closed box midrange cabinet intended to reduce the load on the Uni-Q midrange cone and improve bass.
Available in black or white finishes, the design of the speakers features a seamless baffle and magnetic grills, finished in matt satin.
