Panasonic grows 4K HDR OLED TV range
Panasonic has added to its 4K HDR Ultra HD OLED TV line after announcing a new focus on OLED at CES in January.
After unveiling its first flat OLED television, the 65-in EZ1000/EZ1002 (UK) earlier this year, Panasonic has announced the addition of a 77-in model to the range, in addition to a second series of OLED TVs (EZ952) to be available in 55-in and 65-in models.
Both ranges are powered by Panasonic’s new Studio Colour HCX2 processor which the manufacturer claims can delivers high colour accuracy thanks to 3D look-up tables.
The EZ1000/1002 range offers up to 1000nits peak brightness and “zero level black expression” for a HDR viewing experience. Both the 65-in and 77-in model incorporate 14 speaker units, tuned by Technic.
The 65-in and 55-inch EZ952 models provide multi HDR support (HDR10 and Hybrid Log Gamma) for Blu-ray, streaming and broadcast.
The 65-inch EZ1000/1002, 65-in and 55-inch EZ952 will be available in summer 2017, and will be followed by release of the 77-in model in the first generation line in autumn.
