It sometimes can be hard to keep track of the huge amount of Alexa skills being announced each week, but one of the most interesting to be announced during CES 2017 is for ADT’s Pulse security system.

ADT’s Pulse security system, designed to allow users to monitor and disarm their security system remotely, will soon offer support for Amazon Echo and Echo Dot.

Owners of the system will soon be able to control their security through voice commands such as “Alexa, tell ADT to lock the front door” and to check the status of their system via Pulse’s remote management function.

Users will be required to enter a four-digit PIN for Alexa to fulfil commands to unlock doors and disarm their system.

ADT will begin rolling out the Alexa skill later this month across all Pulse service levels. The company will offer Alexa devices as part of complete security packages.
