RIVA Audio releases WAND Series
Following its launch at CEDIA in Dallas last year, Riva Audio has announced the release of its WAND Series of streaming products.
The manufacturer’s WAND (Wireless Audio Network Design) Series is designed to allow users to play audio inside or outside the home wirelessly from a networked or online source.
Incorporating the compact Arena and full-range tabletop Festival models, all speakers offer RIVA’s Trillium technology and WiFi, Bluetooth, AirPlay and DLNA compatibility. The series’ WiFi is dual band, supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.
Both speakers are hi-res audio compatible and allow users to stream audio content via Spotify Connect and Chromecast built-in, as well as the Google Home. Users can use the Google Home app to create and stream music to different zones in their home. Riva states that in total the system can simultaneously stream to “up to 30 devices without acoustic latency.”
Other features include ‘Away Mode’ (when no WiFi network is available) and splash resistance and an optional battery pack (20h+) for outdoor environments.
The Riva WAND app allows users to access custom listening modes and playback from local music sources (including USB, AUX and optical inputs).
Designed for the home, office or outdoors, the Arena model has 3 full-range custom ADX drivers with 3 passive radiators to produce up to 101dB.
The Festival speaker incorporates an interior MDF cabinet to reduce vibrations and colorations. It drives 6 custom ADX woofers and tweeters coupled with 4 passive radiators to produce up to 106dB of output without dynamic range compression, while bass plays down to 38Hz.
Both speakers are available in black with a titanium grill, or white with a silver grill, with the Arena battery pack available in black or white.
