Savant adds new features to its Studio configuration tool for integrators improving productivity
Studio, an award-winning iPad-based quick configuration tool for integrators, has been significantly updated by Savant to enhance integrator productivity.
For the Savant S2 host platform, the new update to Studio now includes a Smart Behaviours Editor feature which enables integrators to create customised workflows that improve configuration efficiency. An example of the new feature would be to create an audible and/or visible alert when the doorbell has been pressed.
For fast, easy access, user preferences such as Savant Scenes, customised Savant Pro App photos and other Studio configuration parameters can be stored in the cloud by working in conjunction with Savant’s cloud-based central management portal (SCM).
Often requested by integrators, Savant has added a new feature that allows the S2 host to create a secure, wireless connection to the Savant Pro remote and other wireless devices without the need to access a Wi-Fi network.
It is now possible to add more third-party device integrations with the new version of Savant Studio, including door locks, IP control of Samsung display that require an encrypted registration process and many more.
To make installations even simpler, the new Alert Centre gives the integrator a checklist of items they need to complete the Savant configuration. Notifications such as needing to enter IDs for devices or connections will be sent to the integrator to allow an audio or video path to function properly.
Savant Studio’s accessibility and portability allows junior technicians to manage S2 host-based system configurations, meaning senior technicians can work on more complex assignments in the field, and therefore increases productivity.
The new Savant Studio features are available now.
