News Cooper Security upgrades the highly successful 9x5x range (19/4/2004) Cooper Security has announced major upgrades to the 9751, 9752 and 9851 control panels - its highly popular 9x5x range. The range has become even more versatile, easier to install and more cost effective to maintain. Each panel in the range now has two new 8 and 16 Channel Class VI 868MHz Radio Expanders which use Scantronic's AE2 Dual Diversity technology, guaranteed to select the strongest radio signal, not just the nearest. Transmitter power has been increased from 1mW to 10mW. All the systems are ACPO and DD243:2002 compliant, with ScanProx proximity module and 2 tags supplied as standard. There is a new version of Windows-based downloader software to improve remote diagnostics and save on costly maintenance visits, and a common software platform and programming to make installation even easier. "We are always working on improving our products - even the extremely successful ones such as the 9x5x range, and most of the suggestions for improvements come from our customers. Our policy is to listen to what working installers need, to supply it and keep on improving on it," concluded Tony Makosinski, Scantronic Product Manager.
