Sharp launches new flagship Home Cinema Projector

Sharp UK introduced their new flagship Home Cinema
projector on Marata's stand at CEDIA Expo 2004.
The new model XV-Z12000 supersedes the highly
acclaimed XV-Z10000 projector and embodies many new features including
the new "HD2+" DMD(TM) chip set from Texas Instruments and Sharp's
upgraded proprietary computer video & integrated composer (CV-IC)
system ll technology for up-converting standard video signals to
the native HD resolution of the projector. The XV-Z12000 5500:1
contrast ratio (in high contrast mode) and high brightness rating
of 900 ANSI lumens (in high brightness mode) delivers one of the
best pictures available in home cinema today.
"Calibrating the new Z12000 is a breeze"
said Dave Barton who heads up the projector business unit at Sharp
UK "we have provided the installer with the most comprehensive
colour adjustment control [for any single lens projector] normally
only available with high-end CRT projectors".
Other features include HDCP compliant DVI-I
connectivity, 7-segment 5x-speed colour wheel, powered iris control
and mechanical lens shift.
Sharp now offer four widescreen home cinema
projectors covering the full range from entry level (XV-Z10) through
mid range (XV-Z200 & Z210) to the flag-ship XV-Z12000.
