News Kinetics Noise Control Sub Woofer Isolation Bases Control Distracting "Speaker Walk" Vibrations (13/10/2005) Sub woofers are an integral part of a modern surround sound system, which often employs more than one per theater. When subs are hidden in front wall cabinetry they usually become active and vibrate in the speaker cabinet. Kinetics Noise Control offers a custom-made steel frame sub-isolation base designed to control this vibration or "speaker walk," without impeding speaker performance. Regardless of the size, the isolation base is supported on custom-wound coil springs appropriately sized for the speaker's size and weight.
