Russ Andrews Introduces New Mains Cable for Cost Effective System Upgrade (30/10/2006)

Russ Andrews has announced the introduction of a brand new affordable mains cable to coincide with the recent Hi-Fi News Show.

Building on the phenomenal success of the award winning YellO mains cable, which sold many thousands of units, Russ Andrews Accessories have developed a wholly new cable, the PowerMax(tm), as a cost effective upgrade for any hi-fi and home theatre system.

Borrowing proven technology from the many years experience the company has in mains technology, PowerMax is designed to enhance the musicality of any system to which it is connected. The high-purity copper conductors, manufactured specially for mains use by the Kimber Kable company, feature extra large conductors (2mm2). The equipment is therefore able to draw exactly the current it needs, resulting in wide dynamics and greater bass depth.

The chroma-free insulated cable is terminated with a nickel-plated IEC connector to ensure a robust connection with the electronics. Nickel-plated, moulded, mains plugs feature gas-tight crimped connections to reduce mains impedance, adding to the excellent dynamics, detail and bass performance.

Commenting on the development of the new product, Russ Andrews, Managing Director, said: "One of the primary causes of poor sound in hi-fi and home theatre systems is the interference and noise pollution coming from the mains supply. Now, with the introduction of the PowerMax to replace our renowned Yello cable, Russ Andrews has once again shown its commi(tm)ent to enhancing the enjoyment of music and movies for all customers, whatever their budget."
