LG Unveils BD100 Blu-ray Player and the Latest HD
Technology at Best of Stuff Show (13/11/2006)
LG Electronics (LG), a world leader in consumer
electronics, is ushering in the next wave of High Definition (HD)
entertainment at the Best of Stuff section in the What Hi-Fi? Sound
and Vision Show. For the first time in the UK, LG is showcasing
its Blu-ray player alongside latest developments in its award-winning1
line-up of HD TVs, home cinema systems and DVD players.
The LG products at Best of Stuff this year
truly embody its ethos of 'Life's Good'. Whether it's inviting friends
around for the match or cosying up for a movie night, LG focuses
on bringing consumers the ultimate HD home cinema experience.
Highlights of products showcased at Best
of Stuff include:
Blu-ray
Blu-ray has been eagerly anticipated within
the industry as a format for viewing and recording high definition
video. LG's BD100 Blu-ray player is making its UK debut at Best
of Stuff, providing visitors a glimpse of the future in movies and
home entertainment.
The Blu-ray player delivers high definition
quality sound and picture through 1080p output, and HDMI connectivity
that provides the convenience of a single cable connecting to your
TV. Upscaling functionality enables consumers to view their existing
DVDs at a higher picture quality, up to 1080p resolution. Consumers
will also be pleased to hear that the BD100 can play DVDs and CDs
in addition to Blu-ray discs in surround sound.
HD TV Line-up
LG's impressive portfolio of LCD and Plasma
TVs is sure to give Best of Stuff visitors more reasons to get excited
about HD.
Highlights of the line-up include:
47LB2RF, a 1080p HD Ready LCD TV that will
be paired with the Blu-ray player, enabling viewers to witness the
difference of full HD resolution, that gives a 200 per cent clearer
picture than HD ready screens.
LB1DB series, the stunning gloss-black LCD
TVs with a new 42" model set to launch in the UK in November. The
series is available in three different screen sizes (32/37/42")
and delivers the ultimate in picture and sound quality, after an
update of LG's exclusive XD Engine, the digital image generating
chip providing truly realistic high definition images.
MW-71PY10, a key player in the exclusive
club of ultra-large screens and at 71" is the world's largest commercially
available plasma screen.
Home Cinema
The LHWH960IA offers the most advanced wireless
capabilities of a home cinema system, with an impressive 700 watt
speaker output that brings sports and movies to life. LG's heritage
in wireless home cinema is evident with this 'tall boy' speaker
system with HDMI connectivity. Four tall slender speakers can be
positioned in each corner of your living room to provide crystal
clear surround sound.
Super Multi DVD Recording
The EISA award-winning RH200MHS is the world's
first Super Multi 250GB HDD built-in DVD recorder. It complements
the latest TVs and home theatres with Super Multi recording technology
that supports all storage standards for DVD±R/DVD±RW,
DVD-RAM and DVD+R to provide maximum flexibility
for users. All digital AV data stored in HDD can be conveniently
viewed or transferred onto DVD discs. The product itself stores
up to 570 hours of viewing material.
