Designed for domestic applications, the recently upgraded SNX-4x4 is the smallest multipoint-to-multipoint HD compatible audio and distribution matrix available from Smart-e. It features 4 outputs/4 inputs and combines high bandwidth (400MHz) video and high quality stereo audio switching with integral CAT 5* distribution. The SNX-4x4 has been upgraded to include all the latest features of Smart-e's SNX range, such as 'plasma-friendly eyes' (a filtering system which overcomes the problem of interference emitted from large plasma and LCD screens) extended control range between handset and screen, professional picture and sound clarity and the ability to access a multitude of channels. The switch supports UXGA, RGBS, YUV, Y/C and CVBS and is connected via CAT 5* cabling which provides a fast, reliable transmission medium that simplifies future changes to system layouts. In common with the SNX range from Smart-e the SNX-4x4 includes infrared and RS232 control passthrough, IR and RS422 matrix control options and inline power.

The SNX-4x4 is housed in the same casing as Smart-e's SNX-8x8 allowing the matrix to be upgraded post-installation with ease. This unique feature enables the number of points to be increased, in increments, up to 8 outputs/8 inputs. Its affordability, flexibility and ease of installation has led to it becoming an extremely popular matrix with installers serving the home entertainment sector.
