Reference i-Series Furman will also be showcasing its redesigned and technologically enhanced power conditioners, the Reference i-Series, which feature smooth contours of black steel and silver brushed aluminum complemented by clear blue LED lights. In addition to the technologies included in the original Reference Series, such as Discrete Symmetrically Balanced Power, Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), and non-sacrificial surge suppression, the IT-Reference 15i and IT-Reference 20i have been optimized with Dual Screen Technology that provides more than 30 percent greater noise reduction capabilities, resulting in the clearest audio and images to date. Special AC Power Training Seminar at CEDIA Expo 2007: AC Power - the Foundation of Every Premium Home Theater System Today's installers face unprecedented challenges when it comes to AC power and its effect on home theater systems. With ground loops, hum bars, and damage from surges, comprehensive power management control and conditioning is no longer an option for the performance and protection of home theater components - it's a necessity. Garth Powell, an industry-recognized engineer, will share his experience to aid other industry professionals in achieving the highest sound and video quality through smart use of AC power. The seminar will cover the dos and don'ts of uninterruptible power supplies, as well as how the right power conditioning technology can greatly improve the performance of home theater equipment. The seminar will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, Room Agate A. Food and drinks will be served, and there will be a drawing for one of the acclaimed Furman power management products, such as an AC-215 or a Power Station unit. Because this is a CEDIA-accredited seminar, attendees will also receive 0.375 continuing education units (CEU) towards maintaining their status as CEDIA Certified Professionals.
