Smart3 introduces the VideoBUS large-screen, energy saving video door entry control panel (5/3/2008) Smart3, the first company to offer a complete, sustainable solution for home automation and security systems in the UK, has now added the Ingenium VideoBUS terminal to their highly sophisticated range.
Smart3 offers home owners the ultimate in home automation synergy and energy conservation. This all-round solution which can be specified from a single source brings home owners comfort, security and convenience across all aspects of their home automation system. The VideoBus further enhances the complete Smart3 offering to home owners and property professionals, which comprises the Ingenium home automation range, already installed in high value properties in Spain, the Middle East and the Caribbean, together with video door entry intercom systems from the German high-tech communications firm, Siedle and automatic gate control systems from Ditec, Italy's premier brand in this sector. The VideoBUS door entry control panel has been designed to meet client needs for better screen picture quality and energy saving systems. With a generous 15cm (5.7") screen and user-friendly icons, the VideoBUS gives a real-time, high quality, full colour image of the caller. The image is so sharp because the system delivers a 512 x 240 pixel picture across a 10cm (4.3") visible area. Three simple, large icons control the video entry phone View/Speak function, Door-Release and Off switch. The Off button enables users to save energy on camera consumption when the system is not in use. This helps to make the Smart3 Ingenium system the most sustainable and energy efficient home automation system available. The VideoBUS is completely compatible with the Ingenium range of smart home systems and touch screens. Its fourth icon controls a further 16 functions to control timing, temperature and even the ambience of the light and heat in the room or area where the terminal has been installed. It can also open and close curtains for extra security, when residents are away This not only optimises the 'comfort factor' for everyday living but also energy usage, ensuring lights are switched off and heating turned down when the room is not in use. "The VideoBUS is an excellent and really practical addition to our customer offering," said Graham Oliver from Smart3. "It has been developed specifically to meet consumers growing awareness of the need for energy-conscious systems in their homes and also for ease of operation. The VideoBUS further enhances the comfort, security and convenience that the Smart3 home automation solution already offers." The VideoBUS door entry control panel is available now, from Smart3, Ingenium's UK and Ireland distributor. The VideoBUS terminal will also be on display on the Smart3 Stand No A158 at the Smart Home Show, 10-13 April 2008, at the NEC.
