Living Control’s Studio6 MediaSever is Full HD (1080p) capable (23/5/2008)

The classleading Studio6 MediaServer, scheduled for launch at CEDIA UK Expo 2008, June 2426, Excel London, brings the power of Living Control’s MusicBox server platform to Full HD video. Supporting a wideranging library of video and audio formats, the Studio6 will provide two independent video streams via HDMI of any unencrypted video, from YouTube to DVD to Full HD (1080p), in addition to four independent audioonly outputs for music all selectable in the usual Living Control fashion from exceptionally easytouse wall keypads. To protect the video and audio data, the huge storage capacity is internally backedup via a RAID5 disk array. Capacity and video outputs can be further expanded if necessary.

The MediaServer is futureproof as well, with updates enabling a choice of the latest generation of Full HD optical storage for Bluray or other future HD optical formats. Gigabit networking enables the streaming of video and music across the network, as well as importing video and music from external sources. An optional rack mount kit will be available.
