AMX demos latest in VoIP technology, AV storage and distribution and more (30/5/2008)

Stand B4, CEDIA UK Expo 2008

AMX, worldwide leader in control and automation, technology management, audio/video switching and distribution, will display its industry-leading range of advanced control solutions at CEDIA 2008. The AMX stand will feature two fully working demonstrations of systems for residential and commercial installations to show the latest developments in control technology. In particular, AMX will display its cutting-edge range of award-winning touch panels and control pads. The display will highlight the latest additions to the AMX portfolio, the ultra-stylish Modero 5200i Viewpoint Widescreen and the Novara range of simple, cost-effective control pads.

Live Demonstrations
AMX will set up a fully working board room demonstration featuring controlled lighting, plasma display, video conferencing system and multi-room audio. There will also be a demonstration of a residential installation featuring the latest in VoIP technology.

These live demonstrations will provide the opportunity to "test drive" the latest VoIP equipped Modero touch screen panels which are transformed into a full-featured IP phone utilising Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Communications Gateways. Alongside this, AMX will demonstrate the latest VoIP-enabled Metreau entry communication system which features video and 2-way audio communications from a door or gate to a Modero intercom-enabled touch panel, to allow residents to open doors and gates.

AMX will also demonstrate the latest in stylish multi-room audio with its Tango Distributed Audio System. The Tango product line, which includes audio controllers, zone expanders and amplifiers, integrates all the home audio sources and makes them easily accessible from any room in the home.

The latest in audio and video storage and distribution
AMX will feature the latest developments in audio and video storage and distribution, featuring products from its MAX, AutoPatch, Matrix and Endeleo ranges. AutoPatch professional matrix switchers and Endeleo media distribution products, offer the capability to switch and distribute television images and other audiovisual sources to a virtually unlimited number of display devices without any loss in picture and sound quality. The Matrix audio controller line enables users to control and distribute audio from an initial four sources to 4 or 6 zones, with systems that handle up to 8 sources and can be expanded to feed up to 64 zones. These products will be displayed alongside the latest versions of AMX's MAX digital content servers.

Digital signage solutions
In addition, AMX will show the latest developments from Inspired Signage, its own unique digital signage solution that enables customers to create and manage their own dynamic displays across a network of sites locally, nationally or globally.
