D-Tools displays System Integrator 5.2 at CEDIA UK Expo (5/6/2008)

Newest upgrade of award-winning software makes it easier than ever to estimate, design, and manage the integration and installation of low voltage systems

D-Tools, Inc., the worldwide leader in system integration software, recently announced the release of the latest upgrade of its award-winning System Integrator software, SI5 will be demonstrated at CEDIA UK. The SI5.2 release features productivity improvements and enhancements to help residential and commercial AV, Networking, and Security system integrators streamline the design, documentation, and integration of low voltage systems. The SI 5.2 upgrade is immediately available for download to current users.

New features and enhancements in SI 5.2 include:

* Product Download Search
Enables users to search for specific products to download from D-Tools master database, and preview that data to check relevancy before downloading.

* EZ Match Data Download
Match and merge products being downloaded with products in the user's existing database. Our EZ Match automation will match products from the data download and the user's product database based on manufacturer and model values, making database additions quick and easy.

* QuickBooks 2008 Canada Compatibility
LinkTools for QuickBooks now works with QuickBooks 2008 Canada (desktop)

* I/O Studio
A complete visual tool to ease the creation and editing of component inputs and outputs.

* Line Item Summary View
Users can now quickly review the total quantity, cost and price of items of a project.

* Product Data Matrix (PDM) View Improvements
The PDM is Quickly change the look of the PDM by using the new view dropdown. Includes improvements to the way products with accessories are displayed, improved refresh behavior, improved sorting behavior, and reduced clutter

* Visio Schematic Wire Drop
Wires which are already connected to a product on another drawing page (such as plan view) are automatically dropped on the schematic page in Visio when the product is dropped.

* Export Reports to Excel
Export management and installation reports to Excel from any D-Tools report interfaces.

* Reports Start page
New help page in the Navigator which will provide quick assistance on how to use the reporting capabilities of SI5

* Delete Projects
Permanently delete projects, project files, or individual revisions from your project list and file system

* Global Report Settings
New Tools > Global Settings menu option in reporting center allows you to quickly change the behavior of your reports

* Improved Load Time for Reports in Projects
Editing, sorting and filtering capabilities have been added to the Work Order grid, making it much easier to work with items on work orders.

* Select/Clear All for Items and Locations in Add Product Dialog
Quickly select or clear all locations and/or products when adding items to a project
