Equipment developed to reproduce, distribute and play back high resolution video today dominates the market. Consumers demand larger and higher resolution screens and today, many house holds buy their second or third flat screen HD display.

Altavox Infotainment AB today announces the release of the HDMI 4x4e matrix over Cat5 switcher from House Control. The system is aimed at the custom installation market, and solves the issues of HDMI distribution over longer lengths.

HDMI matrix and distribution in one

The HDMI 4x4e matrix switcher from House Control is the basis of futureproof distribution of HDMI sources within the home. It:

• Distributes four HDMI sources to four different zones individually.

• Enables full HD quality (1080p) for lengths up to 50 meters. Longer distances can be achieved with 1080i resolution.

Distribution is handled with dual, dedicated cat5-cabling of high quality. Whereas the matrix switcher is placed centrally with connected sources, small receivers are placed in each zone together with a display or projector.

The system includes IR remote controls but can also be controlled through wired IR or RS-232. The system is built to integrate seamlessly with both home theatre and multiroom systems from different vendors.
