Habitech signs up to Pronto for NuVo (30/6/2008) CEDIA UK Expo 2008 Habitech, the UK distributors of NuVo multi-room audio systems, has agreed a Pronto Partner Agreement with AWE Europe, the UK distributors of Philips Pronto. Philips Pronto is the perfect complementary product to the NuVo Grand Concerto range of multi-room audio systems. Using the NuVo ProntoScript module, installers can bring these systems into a Pronto based two-way control system which will enable all key functionality to be accessed from anywhere in the house, rather than just at the in-wall keypads. Using a Philips Pronto TSU-9400 and RFX-9600 controller, homeowners will also be able to operate video, lighting, media server and other electronic systems in the home "Philips Pronto is a fantastic remote device for controlling NuVo systems," comments Habitech's Managing Director, Jonathan Pengilley. "It's a comparatively low cost, two-way control solution which allows the homeowner not simply to control their NuVo audio system but also other devices and systems, such as TV, DVD, Skybox, lighting and more. Nothing else at this price-point can provide such a great package." "This unique agreement enables Habitech to supply their NuVo Grand Concerto range packaged with the Philips TSU-9400 and RFX-9600." says Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE. These Pronto models will be available as a package with NuVo Grand Concerto systems at the same trade price as that offered by AWE. The first tier support of these package sales will be handled by Habitech directly as will their complete ProntoScript module backup. Second tier support of the Pronto products and servicing will be directly handled by AWE as the UK service and training centre. The Philips Pronto range offers groundbreaking functionality to the mid-market and interfaces with a wide range of equipment, including 2-way communication via its ProntoScript control modules. Alongside the unique extended agreement with NuVo from Habitech, Philips Pronto Partners companies include Lutron, Denon, Dynalite, Escient, Imerge, Kaleidescape, Onkyo, Yamaha and Aprilair. www.habitech.co.uk
