Henley Designs introduces Van den Hul interconnect cable with Green credentials (25/7/2008) A New Wave in cables as Henley Designs introduces a new Van den Hul interconnect cable with Green credentials Henley Designs, the leading UK distributor, has launched a new van den Hul coaxial 75 ohm multi-purpose interconnect cable with extra screening designed to simply outperform every other interconnect in its price class The new Wave interconnect has a solid core centre conductor made of very pure Oxygen Free Copper (O.F.C.) with a very dense silver coating covered by a very dense foamed white Polyethylene layer of insulation. This inner core is surrounded by a double screen consisting of two layers of densely woven silver coated O.F.C. strands divided by a thin metal foil layer. The protective outer jacket is made of olive-green coloured Hulliflex(r). The Wave is not just another "coax cable". Its finely balanced design and selection of materials is the result of more than 25 years of experience in cable design and the result is an impeccable transmission quality. Its high natural bandwidth and excellent noise rejection properties makes it suitable for both audio and 75 ohm video applications including aerial/cable TV, video, surround and S/PDIF digital audio connections. Indeed the Wave comes close to becoming a universal AV cable. Some twenty years ago, van den Hul took the decision that all its cables were to be 100 % P.V.C. and Halogen Free. It designed a new jacket material called HULLIFLEX(r) with those specific properties. This was the start of the van den Hul "GreenCare" program where it moved to working with lead-free solder; environmentally friendly packaging; recycling of waste, etc. And today the building is heated with water pumped from deep in the ground through a heat exchange system so using very little fossil fuel based energy. The Wave interconnect cable is available in all standard lengths starting at 0.8 meters and pre-terminated with high quality 24 Carat gold plated RCA connectors. Anticipated retail prices for the cables will be in the region of £100.00 for the 0.8 metre version.
