The Multi-room Company announces its extended distribution rights to the Flying Mole product portfolio (29/7/2008)

The Multi-Room Company, Cheltenham based distributor of hi-fi and custom installation products, have just returned from Flying Mole's corporate headquarters in Japan with extended distribution rights to the entire Flying Mole product portfolio.

Organised by Ian Galloway, who previously headed up UK sales and marketing for the brand before arranging for The Multi-Room Company to become distributors, the trip was an opportunity for Robert Hay (business development) and Doug Gale (managing director) to visit the company's head quarters in Hamamatsu and meet the owners and development staff.

In addition to touring the extensive R&D facilities and manufacturing plants. the trip also incorporated a visit to a local theme park to witness the Flying Mole range of class D digital amplifiers in use. Chosen for their reliability, sound quality and incredible efficiency of 85% (compared to around 30% for traditional analogue designs), the Flying Mole range is used throughout the theme park for sound reinforcement, PA and music applications.

During the visit, The Multi-Room Company were granted distribution rights to the entire Flying Mole range of products. With immediate effect the distribution deal covers the consumer market products (integrated amplifiers, pre and power amps and car audio), the commercial market (rack mounted multi-channel amplifiers, DC powered amps and digital power conditioners) and the range of OEM amplifier boards for use by 3rd party companies.

Commenting on the visit and distribution deal Doug Gale, managing director said "We had a very successful trip to Japan. It was a delight to meet the staff at Flying Mole and see their extensive R&D and manufacturing facilities. I am convinced that the highly efficient and versatile Flying Mole digital amplifiers are going to be of great benefit to our existing customers and in the new markets that this comprehensive distribution deal has given us access to."
