Alphason Designs announces the Adbri range of AV furniture (12/8/2008) The ADBRI is an exciting fusion of Alphason's best selling AD range of AV Furniture and the award winning Ambri cabinet. Offering the best of both designs, the Adbri concept features open glass 'D' shaped shelves and the storage convenience of an enclosed cabinet. The Adbri's top shelf offers support for TVs up to 50kg while the open shelf area below gives instant access to everyday devices, such as digital receivers and remote controls. The lower cabinet door cleverly conceals a dust-free area for two further pieces of AV equipment and storage compartments for DVDs and AV accessories. The ultra-smooth door hinge mechanism offers the ultimate in soft-open and soft-close feel along with the ability to 'hold' in any position. The Bolton-based Alphason design team researched and tested over 50 door mechanisms before specifying these patented Japanese hinge-stays as simply the best available. Not only does this give the Adbri a sumptuous feeling of quality, it is also one of the safest and most child-friendly AV cabinets on the market. Once again Alphason leads the way in cosmetic design for AV furniture. The Adbri's radical square-section uprights and sumptuous black glass shelves giving this new model a thoroughly contemporary and unique look. The clear glass 'window' in the door allows remote controls to function even with the cabinet closed and slotted grilles inside the cabinet area ensure adequate ventilation for heat-generating equipment such as the PS3, Sky HD and Xbox360. The Adbri is finished in black to complement today's trend for black flat panel TVs and AV equipment, and is available in two sizes. The full-size ABRD1100 is 1100mm wide and ideal for TVs up to 42in, while the smaller ABRD800 is the perfect proportion for TV screens up to 32in. With a total load capacity of 100kg, both Adbri models can cope with the largest AV systems. With additional features such as full BS6206A safety glass and integral cable management as standard, the Adbri's unique style is pending Design Registration with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK-IPO).
