Sherbourn debuts IWA-1 in-wall amplifier (14/8/2008)

CEDIA US Expo 2008

Sherbourn's distinctive IWA-1 (In-Wall) amplifier will be released in early September. This long awaited amplifier offers a myriad of features and its robust 90 watt external power supply allows it to drive two pairs of 8-ohm speakers.

Designed primarily for use with flat panel televisions, this diminutive class A/B amplifier outputs 25/35 watts of clean `discrete' power into 8/4 ohms respectively. The IWA-1 is designed to be mounted in its included "double-gang" aluminum box. It is an affordable "stealth" amplifier (white grill included) with a sound quality that will enhance a flat-screen's movie watching experience. The IWA-1 can alternatively be used as an economical "zone" amplifier for driving two pairs of speakers.

Features include audio/video switching to an external amplifier, discrete power on/off and muting and IR remote for volume control and settings that can be directly accessed via the numeric keys on the included hand remote. In addition the IWA-1 has line level and speaker level controls, a 1-pole crossover, subwoofer output, audio/video signal sensing, line level and high level balanced inputs and it even has a ground-lift switch. The adjustable 12-volt trigger delay can be programmed to the user's requirements from 5 seconds to 5 minutes. RS232 controllability allows great flexibility in the set-up and control process.

The IWA-1 amplifier offers an opportunity to turn every flat panel sale into one of lasting satisfaction for your customers and improved profitability for you and further extends Sherbourn's reputation for designing innovative "custom solutions" at affordable prices.
