Install Automation launches 'Open AV' at Interbuild 2008 (19/8/2008)

Install Automation, the specialist provider of integrated entertainment, security, lighting, electrical and heating controls, is pleased to announce that it will be utilising Interbuild 2008 to exclusively unveil its new Open AV control software solution.

Install Automation will be using Interbuild, the UK's leading exhibition dedicated to the construction industry, as a springboard to educate the construction industry on the benefits of its new Open AV control software including the overall green benefits and the added value that a unique control system can deliver to properties.

The new Open AV software, headlining the Install Automation stand delivers a unique system to efficiently and conveniently control and monitor any building whilst removing the need for expensive proprietary panels and control devices. Open AV is based on a web platform therefore can be tailored specifically to suit individual requirements and innovatively allows for full control remotely from any panel, PC or even "mobile phone". With Open AV users can access and control their property or multiple dwellings from anywhere in the world or simply any room from any room. It acts as a front end to multiple systems eliminating the need for stacks of remote controls and rooms of cluttered cabling and equipment.

Dedicated to serving the new digital world, Open AV allows users to take control of all of their entertainment equipment from one centralised entertainment hub - turn down the volume on the kid's TV or access the sky box to record a favourite programme. Open AV can also be used with integrated CCTV cameras and be accessed from a remote location to create a state-of-the-art security set-up. This is especially useful when set up in a second dwelling such as a holiday home.

Also of great benefit both at home and abroad is Open AV's control system for heating and lighting. Open AV allows users to remotely access and adjust heating and lighting according to their needs. The incredibly diverse and accessible control that Open AV offers for heating and lighting also delivers substantial cost saving benefits. By only using what is needed when it is needed, rather than using pre set schedules that do not take into account; temperature changes, delays getting home from work etc, it is possible to save over 50% on monthly energy bills!

Adam Kent, Managing Director, Install Automation commented; "We are dedicated to developing control systems which are both practical and user friendly moving forward into the new digital era. We are also very aware of our routes to market and are keen to create lasting partnerships with other service providers which share a similar business ethos. We are living in a digital world whereby consumers no longer see entertainment and energy saving as a luxury, but as a necessity and it is important that we begin to recognise this movement. Adding infrastructure and control systems undoubtedly fulfils the digital consumers' requirements, it also adds value to a property and increases its sell ability."

Adam Kent, Managing Director, Install Automation commented; "We are totally unique from our competitors by owning our own software and hardware solutions, this enables us to offer our clients bespoke functionality and complete flexibility. By combining our control solutions with many of the leading manufacturers' products we are able to create innovative and exciting systems that not only remove the need for dozens of remote controls but can also contribute to energy savings of in excess of 50% in the home or business."

Install Automation will be located at stand 03/3A-S85 at Interbuild 2008, 26th-30th October, NEC, Birmingham.
