Somfy Enhances Control of Automated Window Coverings and Projection Screens With the Somfy Digital Network IP Interface (10/9/2008)

CEDIA US Expo 2008

Somfy offers the next level of control for automated window coverings and projection screens powered by the ILT2 motor with the Somfy Digital Network (SDN) IP Interface. This interface is a serial device server used to connect Somfy ILT2 motors and control devices to an IP network. The SDN IP interface contains an embedded web server and configuration software that is accessed via any standard web browser and is therefore compatible with both PC and Mac platforms.

Not only does the SDN IP interface offer unparalleled control of motorized shades and projection screens, but it also offers added functionality with the ability to create an unlimited number of personalized GUIs. These GUIs can be created and accessed from a link on any desktop and the actions have associated URL commands for interfacing with 3rd party IP control systems.

With the ability to program movements via time scheduling and the position of the sun, the new SDN IP interface facilitates a completely automated environment while making remote access to motorized window coverings and projection screens easier than ever. And, as with all Somfy products, the SDN IP interface is backed by a 5-year warranty.
