Clark Synthesis updates AQ339 Aquasonic Underwater Swimming Pool speaker (10/9/2008) CEDIA US Expo 2008 Twenty years ago, hardly anyone had heard of an underwater speaker. "Today, underwater speakers are one of the hottest accessories being installed in new and existing swimming pools," according to Bill Phillips, President of Clark Synthesis, Inc. in Littleton, CO. That is why Clark Synthesis will be introducing the updated AQ339 Aquasonic Underwater Swimming Pool speaker at the 2008 CEDIA show (Booth #329) in Denver, CO. Since 1995, the Aquasonic speaker has been the worldís only full-frequency, full-fidelity underwater swimming pool speaker. This year, the AQ339 has been reconfigured to speed up installation for the customer and design changes have been made to improve upon the speakerís already solid performance. Whether used for lap swimming, relaxation, or just playing with the kids, the underwater sound produced by the AQ339 speaker is amazingly clear and completes the swimming pool entertainment experience. For this reason, Clark Synthesis underwater speakers are currently used at many of the worldís top resorts and are being installed in numerous residential pools. But why introduce an outdoor living product at a home theater show, you might ask? As the home theater market is moving toward whole-house integration, home theater installers are finding themselves being asked to do more outdoor system installations. "More and more frequently we are seeing installers being asked to configure outdoor audio/visual systems, including sound in and around swimming pools," claims Phillips. In our age of audio and digital entertainment, sophisticated customers are now demanding high fidelity music in their swimming pools and spas similar to what they experience in their indoor home theater. With its product line that includes the AQ339 Aquasonic Underwater Speaker, the AW339 All-Weather Transducer, and the new TA1501C amplifier, Clark Synthesis is poised to help dealers meet this demand.
