Browser-based Home Control Management Tool unifies Functionality and Design with Environmental Protection

INNOVUS, manufacturer of electrical equipment, presents its new version 1.5 of the MyHome solution, running on the INNOVUS House Controller. This is a user-friendly, browser-based user interface to setup scenes and control Z-Wave compatible equipment in the home network. MyHome does not just provide the user with a detailed overview of the status of all equipment. It also makes flexible adjustment of energy and heating consumption possible. In this way, home- and apartment owners can control their house remotely via the internet. An intelligent house also contributes considerably to environmental protection as it can be flexibly adapted to the requirements and living habits of the residents, thus requiring fewer resources.

MyHome displays each piece of equipment with its current energy consumption. The operation using the Flash-based GUI (Graphical User Interface) takes place intuitively; expert knowledge is not necessary. New equipment can be easily and quickly connected using plug-and-play. The system recognises new equipment as well as unknown network connections in Microsoft Windows and shows these in a pop-up. As the central interface, the INNOVUS House Controller, which is connected to the PC via LAN, recognises all Z-Wave compatible equipment. This also includes Z-Wave products from other manufacturers, such as Merten, Danfoss, Lagotek, Wayne Dalton, Everspring, Horstmann düwi, Fakro, and others.

Energy Saving by Program

Every device is shown in real-time with its energy consumption. Depending on the position and function, the equipment can be freely compiled into groups. In this way, a user can, for example, see how much energy his entire entertainment system uses or how expensive heating the corridor is. On this basis, he can create individual programs, which automatically regulate or coordinate the status of equipment at determined times. At the touch of a button or the click of a mouse, the user can, for example, dim the light, close the shutters, start up the home entertainment system and begin an evening of TV.

In addition, it is possible to carry out chronological programming. The software offers a calendar function, with which the status of i.e. Thermostats can be scheduled, e.g. on weekends, or adapted to the seasons in advance. Users can flexibly and quickly adapt their home to the current weather conditions, for example upon returning from holiday. Pre-set energy profiles help the user access the programming and immediately facilitate a noticeable reduction in energy consumption.

Z-Ring: Home Control on your Key Ring

The INNOVUS Z-Ring is a mini remote control, which also works together with MyHome on a Z-Wave basis. With it, the user has the option of adding four individual function commands to the buttons of the handy device. This includes, for example, the simple switching on and off of lights or heating as well as the deactivation or activation of specific devices, such as alarms, heating sensors or entertainment systems. The Z-Ring can be kept in your pocket or used as a key ring.
