CEDIA Announces Manufacturers’ Excellence Award Winners Best New Product, Best New Technology, and Product Hall of Fame (16/9/2008)

The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) announced the winners of its Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards during its CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Awards banquet on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Awards were handed out for Best New Product, Best New Technology, and the first inductees into the new CEDIA Product Hall of Fame. These awards recognize outstanding strides in product development and technology that enhances CEDIA residential electronic systems contractor businesses and simplifies the life of the end user. 

The ten Best New Product winners were selected onsite at EXPO from a list of 30 finalists. The Best New Technology winner was also selected from a list of three finalists. All finalists’ information can be found at www.cedia.org/awards. CEDIA will also highlight the winners in upcoming marketing materials and in a posted video on the CEDIA website of live coverage from CEDIA EXPO.

The Product Hall of Fame inductees will also be highlighted on the CEDIA awards page and the inducted products will be part of the first Product Showcase at CEDIA EXPO 2009 in Atlanta, GA. The Product Hall of Fame was developed to show the origins of the residential electronics industry and track the progression of product development and technology. The Product Hall of Fame Showcase will be introduced next year at CEDIA EXPO and all inducted products will be on display every year at EXPO.
