Schneider Electric announces Clipsal C-Bus shutter motor control units (13/10/2008) New C-Bus shutter motor control units from Clipsal, a brand of Schneider Electric, are designed to directly drive the motors for soft furnishing components such as motorised blinds, curtains, shutters and awnings. The relay unit can be easily installed in the switchboard or locally using an optional din-rail mounting enclosure. Designed with the installer in mind, the relay unit is an easy to fit module with features required to make direct motor control safe and simple. There are internally electrically interlocked directional contacts controlled by one, two or three button control from C-Bus switchplates or touchscreens. Programmable time delays between motor forward and reverse changes can be set between 0.5 and 4 seconds. Local manual override buttons assist with setting end-limits. Suitable for commercial, leisure and residential applications, the new shutter control can be obtained from any authorised Clipsal C-Bus installer.
