Savant Introduces the ROSIE System 36 Supporting up to 36 1080p video zones (4/11/2008)

Savant Systems LLC, having lead the convergence of an open architecture platform to integrate automation and control, A/V switching, and general purpose computers, has announced the introduction of the ROSIE System 36, offering the same feature set as the System 12 but with three times the operational capacity.

The ROSIE System 36 is a platform combining Savant's technology portfolio in a single complete solution, which includes control, audio and video switching, audio processing, integrated touch panel user interface, internal iTunes(r) Digital Media Server, and built-in ROSIE Mobile Device Server, eliminating the need for single-function and standalone solutions. As a single-box solution, the ROSIE System 36 delivers high capacity multizone audio processing as well as added convenience and flexibility to dealers and system integrators with its modular and scalable features.

High Definition Video and Audio Matrix Switching up to 1080p: The ROSIE System 36 is ideal for installations requiring high definition (HD) video switching and high capacity audio switching. Based on a modular design, the System 36 can gracefully manage up to 27 x 36 HD video switching and 72 x 72 audio switching, or 144 x 144 audio-only switching.

The ROSIE System 36 can distribute audio to as many as 144 stereo zones or up to 18 separate 7.1 surround sound zones, and the world-class audio processing module supports surround sound decoding and matrix processing, including the most popular Dolby(r) and DTS decoders. The digital preamplifier stage features sixteen independent channels, of which eight are designed to provide multichannel sound in a "main" listening room, while the other eight can feed an additional four stereo zones. For audiophiles, Savant offers both balanced (XLR) surround sound and stereo preamp output modules. Additionally, the System 36 enables audio mixing and overlay capabilities useful for applications requiring audio alerts and cues.

Supporting 36 card total slots, the highly flexible ROSIE System 36 can be field upgraded by adding audio processing modules or audio and video input and output modules based on the needs and complexity of each individual installation. The ROSIE System 36 empowers Savant's authorized dealers to meet the stringent needs, personal preferences, and demands of each customer and installation.
